Voters of the Town of Palmer Lake approve a sales tax increase of approximately $75,000 annually, increasing sales taxes from 2% to 2.5%, commencing in 2007 and concluding 2017, for the exclusive use for essential fire services to include, but not limited to, the payment of debt and the hiring of personnel.

A dry winter leaves little in the way of run-off for the lake in Palmer Lake.
