(May 4th) El Paso County Commissioners provide the Town of Palmer Lake with the requested $20,000 disbursement from the County’s Conservation Trust Fund.

Awake The Lake Committee Chair, Jeff Hulsmann, contacts Josh Figgs, producer of the “Three Wishes” television program requesting they fulfill the Hulsmann daughter’s wish for water in the lake. The producer is interested and makes a trip to Palmer Lake, but at the end of the day decides it will be too costly a project for them.

The Town of Palmer Lake turns on the tap for the D-2 well to begin adding water to the lake.
