Over $5,000 is collected in the first three weeks of the month from private donors and businesses. The Rock House sells over 350 paper trout cutouts for $1.00 each. Awake The Lake committee begins taking orders for Awake the Lake engraved pavers at $75.00 each. The pavers will be installed at the north end of the lake.

Awake The Lake Committee asks the Board of El Paso County commissioners for a $20,000 donation to offset the costs of the “one time fill.” The proposal passes by a 4-1 vote with Douglas Bruce dissenting.
